The idea for Mojave Red started years ago somewhere in Southern California as a blues-rock band but didn't live very long. Fast forward to 2026 when founders Paula and John de Vos decided to revive it. Originally a 5 piece with two guitarists but after a few rehearsals one of the guitarists bowed out and they continued with just one guitar slinger. Enough about that. So, classic rock is a broad term and can range from early 60s to.....well,whatever.

Mojave Red kind of floats between '65 and late 80s and doesn't really play the obvious hits that all classic rock bands play. There's some early ZZ Top in there, Golden Earring, Shocking Blue and they also give some songs a makeover with their own signature blues-rock sound. Without big amps and with an electronic drum kit and in ear monitors you are guaranteed to see a great show at any volume level.
